Delivering Superior Quality Since 1991
Our Story
Highland Plastics Inc. was founded in 1991 by Steve Simmons, in Alma, Michigan. In 2003, we recognized that we had outgrown our home and moved 12 miles north to a larger plant in Shepherd, where we are today. Since then, demand has continued to grow, and we recently completed our second significant facilities expansion. Our facility is now nearly three times larger than when we arrived, running a 24-hour five-day operation.
Highland Plastics is still a family business, and is now led by Steve’s son, Ben Simmons. As well as maintaining a stellar reputation for quality and innovation amongst our customers, we recognize our role as a community-minded employer and contribute to local charitable and educational initiatives.
Today, Highland Plastics receives inquiries from across the globe, referred by world-class household names for whom we have become an integral part of their supply chain. We’re very proud of our achievements, but our hunger for a challenge remains as acute as ever. We would love to make you our next success story.
